"I have been and still am a seeker; but I have ceased to question stars and books. I have begun to listen to the teaching my blood whispers to me." -Herman Hesse
About me
I am a body-oriented psychotherapist who believes in the essential connection of mind and body in the process of healing and growth.
My approach is collaborative, attentive, and individualized. I draw from my life experiences and the extensive training I have received and continue to tend to in diverse areas of therapeutic theories.
Having lived in various countries on three continents, I have gone through and can relate to the experience of immigration, which can be filled with loss and grief as well as joy and the satisfaction of inherent curiosity for the new and sometimes unsettling.
I have prior work experience in the corporate world in the US and Europe and extensive experience navigating the field of aviation.
I draw from psychodynamic, Jungian in particular, mindfulness, humanistic, Buddhist psychology, and integrative theories to address mood, anxiety, and the upheavals of being human as well as dealing with the obstacles we all meet at times. I have a special interest in the process of individuation, major life transitions, cross-cultural concerns, relationship issues, divorce and infidelity, and reproductive choices, especially third party procreation.
The overarching topic of my doctoral research and dissertation focused on gestational surrogacy, and most precisely, the lived experience of gestational surrogates.
